Countdown to the Full Version

TY’s uploaded the demo replay that uses the new battle system and interface. The demo of the combat system isn’t yet fully optimized so it might take a while to load.

Watch it here, now!

Here’s screen shots, basically the same thing you’ll see in the demo:

I’ll put Reuben’s combat music in as soon as we’re done with optimizing and fixing up the rest of the skills.

New character selection screen (still needs some work):

I estimate we’re about 3 weeks from the full version. Would have been earlier but some of us have to go for reservist.

We’ll need another month to convert the full version to an off-Facebook version.

That’s the MW version we’ve been talking about.

This app is so fun and addicting, and the new design is just the icing on the cake. Well done and i applaud you!

I never pay for games becuase they’re never worth it, but i would (and will) pay for this game because i value your work thus far for a free, addicting, and very thorough game.

In the spirit of Google and it’s affiliates; bravo.

Awesome. Will the full version be another aplication, or just a change to the one we have now? And will all the players get another free class and stat reset?

No offense but… The attacks look ugly now…

Yes we’ll give everyone another free stat and class reset.

Load times will be affected but we’ll prompt users to increase the size of their Flash cache and it should be fine.

The attacks effects aren’t finalized. However this is the new style of we’re adopting for combat animations that are not very varied.

Looking back at this again, the postbattle speeches show that the Pirate won. However, the light cruiser escaped.

Does this mean that battles will now go to whoever does the most damage/whoever has more life remaining?

While the new version looks nice, TYLER ought to add more versatility to its combat system.

For starters, the ability to maintain a captain’s combat range as well as adding weapon min and max ranges.

This allows captains to say fit 100% close combat and set up high-speed ships to quickly close and deal damage, while at the same time negating a long-range ship’s capabilities. While a long-range ship captain would try to stay at range.

Sometimes even when a captain gets attacked, he/she does not really want to run but to stay and kill the attacker.

In this version and the old, both captains just steam ahead. A faster victim will just escape.

This makes the combat system incredibly simplistic. TYLER is with this new version at a position to make the combat tons more interesting.
