MW: Battle Online!
Hi Guys, here’s an update for MW:Online.
We’ll be changing the name to MW:Battle Online! to show the new emphasis on the combat system (we had a big headache trying to make the exploration system so we’ll add that only later). We’ve got a new combat system specially for our online multiplayer version that is unlike any of the other casual MMOs out there (or any other MMO for that matter).
The 2 promotional images you see here feature the remodeled Avenger MK2 with a completely new MAW. These are in game graphics! Well, the blur effects might be slightly different depending on how we want to optimize them for the engine.
We may introduce texturing later on but for now we’ll be be using the same system as MW1 which let you guys customize the colors on your own MAW.

Not bad. The second picture gives the avenger a better look, in my opinion. The first gives it a very “Squatted” appearance.

So, Avenger finally has leg joints! Admittedly many of today’s games will heaviliy overshadow these graphics, but by that I mean the likes of Crysis and such. I impatiently await the beginning of MW Online.

Thanks for the feedback, I think the uppercut could indeed be improved but stretching out the left leg more.
The game won’t require a client downloaded. However it will be a challenge for us to optimize it for web play. All the moves will have names since the emphasis is on combat and building your own combos.
Not just a leg joint, he was missing a bicep previously as well. MW has never aimed to compete with big commercial games. We just want to bring console style gaming to casual online play.
And I’m looking forward to Crysis too. Saving up for a super computer just to play it.
The new MAW kinda looks like a minotaur. Taurus? Something like that would be a good name.
The title sounds a little clunky when its like that. Something like
“Mobile Weapon Battle: Online!”
would seem better to me.
Just some suggestions.
Actually the name is a parody of Ragnarok Battle Offline. That’s why we have “battle” and “online” together.
When will this game be released???

I’ll be trying to try it probably. And what happened to the guy that said about a boxed retail version of MW?
I think the publishers are only willing to do a boxed set for MW2.
What’s the point in that? The storyline will be messed up. Why not make a new version of MW:1 off of the old one with a few new features for the boxed set to make it release-worthy?

It possible for new players to start from MW2, I’ve made sure of that in writing the script (i.e. many Flashbacks).
They’ll probably be a bit under motivated to save Uncle Ron, though.
