Mobile Weapon: Ep1 BETA F.A.Q.
Here’s a temporary FAQ for problems you might encounter playing the BETA:
Q0) Where can I play the game?
A: You can play the BETA version at http://www.mobileweapon.net/files/mw1/
Q1) Help! I can’t even attack!
A: You have to open your inventory and equip the basic weapons that uncle Ron gave you before you can attack. – Fixed.
Q2) How come my screen freezes when I’ve defeated the enemy?
A: You have to click before you get your XP and items from a successful battle. We’re going to make it automatic like other games. – Fixed.
Q3) How come I can’t save my game?
A: You can only save in safe areas (like town) or in boss areas. We’ll have to add an alert box to tell players about this otherwise it’s not very obvious.
Q4) All my savegames except “new” were deleted!!
A: Clicking quickstart will delete your savegames if you have any. Register and save on the server to prevent this from happening. We’re putting in a warning message to ensure your saves don’t get overidden like this.
Q5) How do I even save on the server?!
A: Click the blue button to transfer your save to the server. We’ll make clearer instructions for this delicate proceedure soon.
Q6) Uhh…I got to the scrapyard. That’s all?
A: We’ve got 4-6 more areas that aren’t in yet. It’s in the pipeline. We’ll be adding one new area on 12th July.
Q7) I can’t find the parts that Ron asked me to find!
A: 2 of the 3 parts weren’t added in until later. The quest may still be incomplete. Stand by we’ll have it fixed tomorrow. – Fixed.
Q8) The Sniper rifle doesn’t work!
A: Yeah, it’s bugged and it will overwrite some of your other weapons. Don’t buy it for now. – Fixed.
Q9) My HP isn’t increasing with level!
A: Ok. Remember how your MAW HP used to go up alot in MW:0? Yeah that was our alternative to a levelling system. Now you’ve got both a pilot and a MAW. Makes more sense for the pilot to gain more XP.
But we’ve clearly got to do something about the MAW cos the HP is really pathetic if it doesn’t increase. We’re going to do something like have Ron charge you some gold and a spare part (gear, board, etc) to increase your MAW’s HP. Will post an update once we’ve made the change.
Q10) What are Reflex, Accuracy and Technique for?
A: Reflex affects your evasion rate and is needed for more powerful melee weapons.
Accuracy affects your hit rate and is needed for more powerful light ranged weapons.
Technique adds a small bit of damage to all your attacks and is needed for more powerful heavy / special weapons.
The stat requirements should be implemented by Monday 10th. You’ll need to pump the appropriate stats before you can use more powerful weapons.
Q11) STUFF DISAPPEARED from my inventory!!?
A: There’s a cap of 40 items for the inventory. So if you filled your inventory stuff might get overwritten. We’re addding in a warning to tell you when your inventory is full and allow for simple items like repair kits and gears to stack so no matter how many you have it only takes up one slot.
In the case of Uncle Ron’s list disappearing. It’s because the quest isn’t complete. So he removes the list but doesn’t give you a reward. We’ll fix that soon. – Fixed.
Q12) The grass is blocking me.
A: Press spacebar to cut the grass. You might find some treasure hidden in the grass.
Q13) How do I get other team/party members?
A: We’ll add the first recruitable team member on 12th July 2006.
I have reflex 33 but I still can’t use the Power Fist!!!
Please fix this…

yea.. there’s something with the power fist, I couldn’t use it either even though my reflex is 30+.
i had the same problem with the sniper rifle. if you have any equiptment that boosts your stats, i.e. the goggles, you have to unequipt them then equipt the weapon. after that, you can put your stat boosting item back on. also, in my case, stats from items cannot be used to meet item requirements
i got all of rons items exept for one gyrobolt but nomatter how many of those clock guys i find i cant get the third one, why?
What is Donna’s last name?
I think there is a glitch, when fighting two drill machine monsters and a phase bat at level 3 lazlo mine, you cannot escape. you just turn around and the enemys just fight at you until you die.
And what is donnas last name??
Your base stats are used to calculate if you can equip an item.
The more enemies you fight and the more powerful they are the harder it is to escape. So it may not be a bug at all.
I don’t know why everyone’s asking about gyrobolts because the dropr ate is 20%. We’ll up it to 30% in the full version.
Hint: the clothes store owner is the one who will tell you Donna’s last name.
can somone please tell me where i find gyrobolts(what area) I got the mines(cant access) Tiki forset,Scrapyard,endless forge(cant access)and the azure grove.
Ive been to them all.. I have played looking for the bolts for about 19 hours now.
I counted 2 hours ago how many clocks i killed, I killed 39, 0 gyro bolts.
Is the Donna’s last name said in the middle of the talking or does she tell you her full name
Hmm, Okay, Ive played another 6 hours and still no gyro bolts, Im fighting the clock crawlers. i found a spot where they seem to be frequent. Nothing, not even one gyro bolt.
Ive played another 6 hours(on top of my 16 hours) and ive played the game a total of like…maybe 50 hours, and i still, even fighting clock crawlers, cant get 1 gyro bolt…. i have everything else!!!!

you see, i’ve invested Much time and much of my dedication to this wonderful game. I have many many many suggestions(I am a tester for games like this on other sites, many respected, and well known games.)
And it seems the Gyrobolts are broken on the site i play at =(
I dealt over 500 dmg to a hermit shark.
yes 500 and i had to escape.
i hate this, ron never will finish the macro gen will he n wats dannas last name
ron ses are you ready for the delivery mision but then stops talking wat do i need 2 do.
and when does the fishing shop open.
plus ive beet the sprout boss already.
Ron already finished the Macro gen as of version beta 0.43.
We’re not officially updating the BETA. So don’t expect any quest extensions after that, if we add stuff it’s just for testing. The final version will be different.

a couple bugs. . .
- I was just in battle with some drill fiends and I couldn’t kill one of them. He just kept taking damage. When I killed the only other one, and when it died it went to the xp screen. This seems rare as it has only happened once.
- changing the MAW color scheme isn’t permanent. Kind of a waste of money right now.
- Had a bug where No damage is taken or done during battle seems to happen on occasion with the Phase bats.
- the attribute/equipment thing is annoying.
- I’m not sure modified Reflex is working well. My main char has a Ref of 44 and Barrage has a Ref of 19. I don’t see a lick of difference.

man, how did you ever found out the last name of donna was drew? i tried, she said it was right and gave me a voucher for the clothes shop, i traded it for glashes, so it helped me 600 credits, g2g i wanna play more..

There’s a glitch with my stat points. I’m only level 2 and my sp reset after I set them. Sorry if I’m not supposed to use this because I noticed no comments for over a few monthes. Hope your series gets its big break!

and then go to the jungle and fine the way to the mines and then get close to the rockes blocking the mine and click on them
then just look for the plasma rocks

can ne one go into the acient ruins part? and that games not too bad i beat it with no complications, and found secret areas which were awesome
reflex is how much you can evade-the higher the better.
accuracy is how often you can hit enemies without missing.
technique is how much damage you can inflict the higher the better
and any instructions on how to get to the navigation unit in tidal caves.
you get to use megastrike wen u have an avenger and wen youget the ep up to 125 then you click on megastrike or press m
